3. KEY THOUGHT A believer’s life is characterized by his service to God and the saints. Passion adds an extra dimension to the believer’s service. It is a strong emotion, an intense desire and boundless enthusiasm for God’s work. Without passion, vision is dead. There is no substitute for passion for successful and fruitful service!

4. REQUIREMENTS FOR DIVINE SERVICE
Many aspire, but not all are qualified to render service to God. What is needed?
salvation: Isa. 52:11; John 3:3
separation from the world: II Co 6:16-18
entire consecration: Rom 12:1-2
supreme love for God: John 21:15-16
availability: Isa 6:8; Heb 10:9
accountability: Luke 16:2; II Tim 2:2
Can God depend on you?

5. REPRESENTATION OF DOGGED SERVANTS
Men and women of passionate service are peculiar. They are:
active: John 2:17; Num 25:6-8
focussed: Acts 26:19; Ps 57:7
goal-oriented: Phil 3:12-14
temperate: I Cor 9:25-27
fervent: Rom 9:1-3; 12:11
What are you passionate about? How does that align with God’s purpose for your life?

6. REWARDS FOR DILIGENT SAINTS
It pays to serve Jesus. What are the rewards?
more spiritual exposure: Pro 11:24-26
leadership development: I Tim 3:13
ministerial excellence: II Tim 2:15
joy in doing God’s will: Luke 10:20
eternal reward: Mark 9:41; Rev 22:12
The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. Will you commit your life to God’s service today?
