1 Meet the Cheetahs While you wait:
Please begin filling out the forms in the purple folder or completing the form on the computers or laptops. All will need to be completed and tuned at the end of the session. Track 1 Mrs. Sheleheda

2 SCHEDULE School opens at 8:50 Instruction begins at 9:20
Lunch is from 11:20 – 11:50 (will change at times) Special classes are from 1:15-2:00 Specials include: Physical Education, Art, Music, Computers and The SPOT Recess is 30 minutes, from 2:05-2:35 Dismissal begins at 3:50

3 HOMEWORK Homework is given Monday- Thursday. “No Homework” will be noted on Friday folder form. Students/parents should not return to the classroom to retrieve forgotten homework after school. Agendas do not have to be signed unless a student shows a pattern of missing homework. Please do not request work to be sent home due to vacations or illness. Work can be made up upon return. Sick children should focus on recuperating. Extra curricular activities (baseball, gymnastics, etc) are not acceptable excuses for not completing HW

4 MISC Volunteer Registration
Change of transportation must be written. Please do not ask student to notify teacher of change. We prefer to receive hand written notes to avoid confusion when there is a sub. Lunch visits: Please meet your child at the cafeteria for lunch. Also, do not walk your child back to class after lunch. Birthday treats: Must be store bought and will be shared at lunch in the cafeteria. Birthday invites: When invitations go out at school, they need to go to the whole class.  Students are not permitted to pass out invitations to students at school in other classes.

5 Misc… (Cont) Newsletters/website “Sheleheda.weebly.com” Newsletters will be sent home every two weeks. Purple folders will come home each day with homework. On Fridays purple folders will contain work samples, school information, and weekly grades for conduct and work habits. Weekly reports should be signed and returned in the purple folders every Monday. Students are responsible for turning in weekly reports Monday morning. If you do not receive the weekly report, it is because it was not returned. WCPSS policy states a child with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and/or fever should remain at home until free of symptoms for 24 hours. Conferences will be held in the at the end of 1st/beginning of 2nd quarter. Look for an from SignUp Genius as the dates approach.

6 Misc. Students will not be permitted to keep water bottles on their desks. They may bring water bottles to school; however, they will be kept in a designated area. Homework and some classwork is checked as a class. Students will correct their work with a pen or colored pencil. We will be a BYOD classroom this year.

7 BEFORE YOU LEAVE TODAY:
Sign in on both sheets & take a purple folder. Complete the sheets on the “Return to School” side of the folder. You will need to tear out the last page of the Student Handbook after you complete it. Complete my information form on an available computer or laptop. You may also access the form from your personal device by going to bit.do/childinfo or scanning a QR code. Place ALL completed forms in the tray by the door & feel free to take an apple from the door on your way out. Thank you!!!!
