4 Graduation Requirements for State High School Diploma
The student must earn a total of 24 prescribed units of credit. The unit requirements are distributed as follows: English/Language Arts 4.0 Mathematics 4.0 Science 3.0 U.S. History and Constitution 1.0 Economics 0.5 U.S. Government 0.5 Other Social Studies Course(s) 1.0 Physical Education or Junior ROTC 1.0 Computer Science (including Keyboarding) 1.0 Foreign Language or Career and Technology Education 1.0 Electives 7.0 TOTAL 24.0 

5 Selective Service Men required to register 30 days prior to or after their 18th birthday. Registration forms located at US Post Offices or online. Is required in order to be eligible for financial aid that is provided for/subsidized by Federal Government.

6 What the NCAA Eligibility Center Needs from Every Athlete
Website: Athletes: If planning to compete at Division I or II institution, you MUST register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Good grades (in the right classes) and good test scores Amateurism status Following the rules Register

9 College Entrance Exams
ACT or SAT: Check with the 4 year colleges in which you are interested to see which test they prefer. ACT accepted almost everywhere. Registration date information available in Counseling Office. Student is responsible for registration. COMPASS/Accuplacer: Technical Colleges utilize this test for admissions and placement.

10 Requirements for Applicants to SC 2-Yr Institutions
2-Year Technical College Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required for most degree or certification programs. - High school diploma or approved home school program to be eligible LIFE lottery scholarship. - High school diploma or equivalent required for Federal or State financial aid. - required COMPASS placement test in reading, writing & math or submit SAT Verbal 480 / Math 440 scores or ACT 19 score (remedial, non-credit classes required if test scores not met). * COMPASS test is free, SAT / ACT has fees. Some degree, certificate & license programs have minimum score requirements.

11 Requirements for Applicants to SC 4-Yr Public Institutions
Minimum 4-Year S.C. College Requirements - 4 units of English / Language Arts - 4 units Mathematics to include Algebra 1 (or Algebra 1 Parts 1 & 2), Geometry CP, Algebra 2 CP plus one higher math - 3 units of Laboratory Science - 2 units of the same Foreign Language - 3 units of Social Science - 1 unit of Fine Arts - 1 elective where Computer Science is strongly recommended. - Competitive SAT or ACT score. Or students may transfer from a 2-year technical college after 1 or 2 years with a 2.5 – 2.8 GPA in college transfer courses. * In all cases check with the college for admission requirements in specific programs.

12 College Applications Start applying this fall/winter to the schools in which you are interested. Paper or online apps: some are free, some require application fee. Create a resume as you will need this for applications, letters of recommendation, etc.

13 Letters of Recommendation
Check to see if the school or scholarship requires letters of recommendation. Ask adults who know you well (not relatives) to write a general letter of recommendation. Provide those people with your resume so that they can fully comment on your qualifications. GIVE PLENTY OF NOTICE! Write a thank you note!

Learn about entrance requirements ASVAB score Age Physical Requirements Citizenship Explore Branches and Types of Service The Military is comprised of 12 branches: five Active Duty and seven part-time duty. Active-duty service members are full-time members of the Military. They are employed either domestically or overseas. Part-time service options fall under two types: Reserve and National Guard. These service members have civilian careers and train one weekend out of each month at a unit located nearby. Part-time service members participate in an annual two-week program that allows them to utilize all of the training they received throughout the year. 20 Diploma Names will be show up on the diploma the exact way it is spelled on each student’s birth certificate. If there are any name changes please turn them in as soon as possible to ensure the correct spelling is printed.

21 Graduation Requirements
All caps and gowns are ordered through Josten’s. Dress code is still white dress and shoes for females and black slacks, white shirt, and tie for males.
