GENOCIDE DEFINED Deliberately killing or causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of a group to bring about physical destruction AND Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group as well as forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

Period of economic stress or political crisis: I.e. Ottomans/Germans Bipolar or mixed religious/ethnic societies Longstanding animosity between majority and minority groups Widespread obedience to authority: I.e. High illiteracy, mass media propaganda, weak or no democratic institutions, etc.
