Write it right Wednesday This week’s skill – colon in items in a series
Explanation: items in a series occur when there are at least three items in a list. Each item must be separated from the next by a comma. A comma is also needed before the conjunction that connects the final item in the list. Some items in a series are preceded with a hint that the list is being announced. When that occurs, a colon must come before the list.

Explanation: -typically, if a number less than one hundred appears in a sentence, it must be written as a word -a number should never begin a sentence. Make it a word. - don’t mix and match numbers and words. -some exceptions apply to using numbers instead of words – scores, height, weight, dates, times, and money.
