1 Subject Pronouns Replaces the subject of the sentence.
Are used to talk to and about other people. In Spanish, the subject pronouns have the following forms… yo, tú, él, ella, Usted, nosotros, nosotras, ellos, ellas, Ustedes

2 Yo Yo (I) refers to the person speaking Otherwise known as 1st person

3 Tú or usted refer to the person spoken TO Tú and usted both mean YOU.
Tú (informal you - used to address children, family, and friends). usted or Ud. (formal you) Usted is used to show respect…teachers, elderly people…...titles HOLA

4 Él y ella él (he) ella (she) refer to the person spoken about

5 Nosotros y nosotras Nosotros (we-masculine) refers to mixed groups or groups of all males. Nosotras (we- feminine) refers to groups of all females Think of it as “I plural”

6 Ellos y ellas Please make them stop! Ellos (they / masculine) refers to a mixed or all masculine group of people you are talking about. Ellas (they/ feminine) refers to a group of females that you are talking about.

7 Ustedes (Uds.) Ustedes or Uds. (y’all)
used when talking to a group of people Plural YOU

8 ¿YOU? Ustedes is . . . Tú and Usted are both . . . singluar
Remember, there are 3 ways to say YOU in español . . . Usted Ustedes HOW DO YOU CHOSE? Ustedes is Tú and Usted are both . . . plural singluar So if YOU does something with at least 1 other person, your only option is ustedes. So all you have to do is decide if it’s formal or informal

9 Nosotros or Ustedes? I am confused
Remember, Nosotros/as is used as “ I plural” So, if I do something with another person . . . Abraham Lincoln and I go to the movies You use NOSOTROS But if YOU and someone else does something . . . You and Abraham Lincoln go to the movies You use USTEDES - (you plural)
