Homework Weekly Objectives Spelling Words
February 19, Week 8 of 3rd 9 Weeks Issue # 3 Mrs. Castellano's Class Homework Weekly Objectives As part of your 20 minutes reading time, please use istation; storyline online; bookflix: bkflix.Grolier.com-UN: jdrugan. PW: bookflix Monday– Read your fluency folder pages: Week 13, “Grasshopper.” Time for one minute. Answer questions on back. Write spelling words three times each. Math: p.Week 24. Practice HIGH FREQUENCY WORD list. Bring homework to school everyday. Tuesday– Read your fluency folder Pages: Week 13, “Grasshopper.” Time for one minute. Answer questions on back. Write spelling words in ABC order.Week 24. Practice HIGH FREQUENCY WORD list. Work on home project this week. Wednesday- Read your fluency folder Pages: Week 13, “Grasshopper” Time for one minute. Answer questions on back. Write sentences for spelling words Math: p.Week 24. Practice High Frequency Word list. Bring homework to school everyday. Thursday- Read your fluency folder pages: Week 13, “Grasshopper.” Answer questions on back. Write sentences for spelling words Ask your parents to give you a practice spelling test. Practice the ones you missed.. Math p.Week 24. Write a sentence for all your vocabulary words. Read High Frequency words everyday. Bring homework. Friday-Tests on story of the week, spelling words, vocabulary words. I will send the tests on Friday. Please sign and return them. If you don’t get them, please write me a note in the agenda. PLEASE NO ABSENCES ON FRIDAYS OR MONDAYS. WE HAVE TESTING ON FRIDAYS AND MONDAYS WE HAVE NEW MATERIAL TO COVER. PLEASE SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS BEFORE 10am OR AFTER 10am. ***Project Due this Tuesday. No late projects. Language Arts – Fiction & Non fiction, characters, setting, plot, Problem and solution, Parts of a book-glossary, table of contents, past tense endings, declarative and interrogative sentences, prepositions, plural nouns, author’s purpose. Math – Linear Measurement Science – Phases of the Moon/Objects in the Sky Social Studies – Communities Pattern: oo, ew, ue, ou u_e Blue, cook, shook, true, prunes, chew, few, clue, stew, mule, group, room, due, knew, bruise, youth, book, nook, took, due. Spelling Words Vocabulary Words Story: A Trip to the Emergency Room Serious: Important, not funny. Personal: Having to do with one person. Private. Informs: Tells or gives information. Heal: To get well. Aid: To help or support other people. Probably: Likely to happen. Dr. Seuss Read Across America at America’s High School on March 1, 2018 from 4:30 to 6:30pm A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO IAN WHO WON THE CAMPUS MATH BEE AND WILL REPRESENT OUR SCHOOL AT THE DISTRICT LEVEL!
