5/6/2019 6:47 AM Youth Officiating TPL Rules Play will consist of (4) 15-minute run time quarters, with 1 minute breaks between the quarters, and a 5-minute break at halftime.  There will be no time outs until play-offs If multiple games are required to be played on a given game day, (2) 25 minute run time halves may be played if both coaches agree. (5) minute break in between halves. All NFHS rules are in effect, with only these Exceptions to NFHS rules: Only goalie counts, and “get-it-in-keep-it-in” last 2-minutes enforced at 5A/5B/6A/6B.  All counts enforced at Grade 7A/7B/8A/8B No zone defenses allowed.  Violation will be viewed as illegal procedure If a player fouls out of a game (5 minutes of accumulated penalty time), he is eligible to play in the next scheduled divisional game.  If a player is ejected from a game, he must sit out the next scheduled divisional game © 2007 Microsoft Corporation. No player will be allowed to play more than 4 years on the big field (5th through 8th grades).  A player may petition the league through its TPL town contact. No player from outside the (16) TPL towns may play in the TPL unless his town does not have a boys youth lacrosse program, or a team at his grade or U-level. A player may petition the league for an exception through its TPL town contact. Body contact is allowed, but only the amount needed to play 1v1 defense, box out on a GB, or to turn a player back on a ride. Players who deliver body checks on GB’s, in the middle of the field, or in any situation where the ball carrier is defenseless, will be penalized. ​NO LONG POLES AT U11 Select Stick length: Players are allowed and encouraged to have sticks lengths under 40 inches. 5/6/2019 6:47 AM Youth Officiating CTL and OCLL Rules U13 and U15: All games will be played with four - 15 minute running time quarters. ​If goal difference is <3,  then they will have us do "STOP TIME" for last minute. Officials Keep Game Time.  Offending Team keeps penalty time. Time will stop only during injury or time out situations. Time Outs may be called anywhere on the field as long as you have possession of the ball or it is a dead ball situation. All teams are allowed second timeout per half or overtime period.  The game clock is stopped during all timeouts called by a coach or official. Penalties are running time with 10 secs. added to all time-serving penalties.  Clock starts when play resumes after penalty. Stick Checks: 2 hands on stick Under control to the stick or gloves One handed wrap checks allowed at U15 only Illegal Sticks: Coaches may not request formal stick checks. But, if a referee wants to check for illegal stick, they can. An illegal pocket will result in a 30-second penalty. Illegal stick length will simply be a turnover and stick removed from play. Only goalie counts (4 seconds) at U11 Select & U13 During final 2-minutes of a game, teams must “Get-it-in, Keep-it-in” to the offensive area This will be enforced at U11 Select, U13 & U15.
