3 Freemium Games Forecast
Since 2010 the swing between paid for and freemium games has been 2% year on year. The forecast between 2010 – 2015 shows a swing of 12% in favour of freemium games.

5 How to get consumers to spend
Reward: Users play games for longer if there are achievements to complete or high scores to beat, the more they play the higher the potential for buying in-game items. Samples: Provide samples of your in-game items. If users get used to using these items there is a higher chance of them buying more. Addiction: Addictive gameplay that offers an option to improve there experience. An example of this would be to add a time period before the user can retry a mission/puzzle.
