Quarter 2 Week 5
19 days until Christmas break! Please make sure your student is dressed appropriately as the chilly temperatures set in. Sometimes it can be chilly in the classroom, too, so a school colored sweater would be great for students to have. I have seen navy blue button-downs at Walmart.  School spirit wear sweatshirts are also available for purchase. They are $13.
We are still reading The One and Only, Ivan. During this novel study, we will be focusing on literary elements (setting, plot, characters, symbolism, imagery, etc.) Ask your student about what we’ve read so far!
In math, we are plugging away at multiplication and division. Keep practicing those addition and subtraction facts at home. Any two-step word problems are great for the students to focus on, as well.

Field trip must be earned by students. Students with A/B behavior may attend (from Oct. 22nd and on). Students may have no more than 1 major and/or 2 minors, and NO suspensions.

Uniforms:
Bottoms: black, navy or khaki/tan; solid color socks or tights.
Tops: white, light blue, dark blue, black. Shirts must be solid color with sleeves and collar. NO hoods. NO jackets.
