Let’s try it together! We’re going to watch “For the Birds.”
The theme is, “People should be nice to others no matter their differences.” While we watch the film, look for evidence that supports the theme.

What is the theme in “For the Birds
What is the theme in “For the Birds?” The theme in “For the Birds” is people should be nice to others no matter their differences. This theme is shown in the short film by watching how the little birds act when the big bird comes to join them on the wire. For example, the little birds are mean to the big bird and make fun of him for how he looks instead of letting him hang out with them on the wire. Also, when the big bird flips upside down, the little birds don’t help him. Instead, they try to get him off the wire without realizing the consequences. In the end, the big bird ends up laughing at the little birds when they lose all their feathers. All of the events that happen in “For the Birds” help support the them that people should be nice to others no matter their differences.
