Our Garden
2
Marine sponges (Tubular)
They are known to be filter feeders. They suck in the water and filter food that’s in it. Tubulars are soft and they don’t have any bones. They are as small as your pinkie.
3
Mussels They are found in big groups called beds.
They can suck water in through the gaps and then filter the food out. They can be eaten by seagulls or people or they can be used for fishing.
4
Goby They are scavengers but mostly eat meat and scraps. They can take eggs from other fish. They mostly hide so they don’t get eaten.
5
Stingray They like to eat shellfish and crabs. If they go into the shadows they are hard to see because they are black. At the end of the tail it has a barb to sting you if you annoy it.
6
Glass Shrimp They are scavengers just like the Goby. They try not to be seen even though they are clear. You normally see the black stripe.
7
Starfish They have one eye at the end of each arm so they see more food. They have legs like tubes so they can move. They normally have 5 arms but can have up to 40 and can regrow one if lost.
8
But Mostly we have lots of algae everywhere like weeds and grass.

Daily view This is some of the things in my garden. Without our Marine Garden a lot of waste would be polluting our oceans. Every little creature has a use and is helpful to keep our oceans clean. Thank you
