High Power / Low Interest Meet their needs Keep satisfied High Power / High Interest Key Player Engage closely Low Influence of Stakeholder High Low Power / Low Interest Least Important Minimal Effort Low Power / High Interest Show consideration Keep informed Once we have identified our stakeholders we need to formulate an stakeholder engagement plan. But before we do that we need to rank our stakeholders based on their value to your project. We use the Influence/Interest Matrix to rank our stakeholders Ask delegates to take their stakeholder ID post-it notes and put them where they think the stakeholders sit on the Influence / Interest Matrix Word of warning – do not share this with your stakeholders. You may have ranked a stakeholder as “Low Power” but they may view themselves as “High Power” Low Interest of Stakeholder High
