Outstanding Academic Achievement
Students who achieve a total of 70 points or greater based on external examination results from a maximum of 9 subject passes at level 2. Points are allocated to each pass as shown in the table below: GRADES NUMBER OF POINTS A*/ A/ I 8 B/ II 7 C/ III 6 NB: No resits will be considered.

VALEDICTORIAN/ SALUTATORIAN
The student with the highest number of points based on external examination results and the points system – (top student). In cases where there is a tie, average of Mock Examination marks will be will be used to resolve the tie. Valedictorian – Highest number of points Salutatorian – Second highest number of points. NB: No resits will be considered.

PERFECT/EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE AWARD
Achieve 100% attendance over the last three years of school leading up to graduation. This includes, where possible, attendance at off-campus sites during year 12. Where there is no perfect attendance, consideration will be given to students with attendance of 98% or greater. Attendance includes punctuality.

ERNST AND YOUNG AWARD Awarded to the Valedictorian.

SUBJECT AWARDS DART STEM Award: student with the best grades in Math, IT or TD and the best 2 from Physics, Chemistry and Biology). Cayman Business Weekly Award: student with the best combination of grades from (POB, POA, EDPM/IT). Vocational Studies Award: student with the best combination of grades from (TD, Build. Tech, Family & Res. Management, Food Nutrition & Health, PE) Creative Arts Award: student with the best combination of grades from (Music,Visual Art, Digital Media)

THE NATIONAL GALLERY VISUAL ARTS AWARD
Awarded to the most outstanding Art student.

RAOUL SCOTT VISUAL ARTS AWARD
This prestigious award will be given annually in memory of the legacy in the Arts for the late Raoul M. Scott. The awardee(s) must meet the following criteria: Demonstrates strong performances in art, usually over a few years. Shows outstanding effort, enthusiasm, and leadership in art class Performs well academically in the subject with top mark. Be disciplined and devoted to raising the level of his or her craft. There should be a significant commitment to the art outside of the classroom. Has a passion for art, coupled with a desire to share that passion. Encourages and assists others and demonstrates a willingness to “share the stage” and be cooperative. Consistently displays a positive attitude and a continued interest in attaining and developing his/her skills in the visual arts.

EFFORT AWARD Best effort over years 10 to 12 as adjudged by teaching staff.

SPORTS AWARD The Sports Award is being presented to a maximum of two deserving individuals who have represented the school well over the years and have been keen participants in internal sports activities. Where there is no evidence to support outstanding representation, then no award will be given.

CAPTAIN MABRY KIRKCONNEL SERVICE AWARD
Outstanding service to school and community in line with the “Good Citizens” characteristics at right. This is evaluated over the last three years.

Hyacinth Downer LEADERSHIP AWARD
Presented to the student who displays excellent leadership traits in and around the school campus and the community over the last three years. The student’s general conduct and deportment should be sound.

EXEMPLARY STUDENT AWARD / Deportment and Conduct
Presented to a student who demonstrates Excellence in the following areas: Attitude Conduct Deportment Effort Attendance and Punctuality-School/Class Nominated by the Awards Committee.

IMPROVEMENT AWARD Awarded to the student who shows the greatest improvement in Academic Achievement over the last three years. *Nominated by Teaching Staff and confirmed by Awards Committee

THE SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE AWARD
Awarded to a student who was able to achieve well even in the face of overwhelming difficulties and obstacles. Nominated by the Awards Committee

CLAUDETTE UPTON KEELY AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE LITERARY ARTS
Awarded to the most outstanding student in the Literary Arts. The awardee excels in writing, speaking and represents the school well in related areas. *Nominated by the English Department

DEBATE AWARD Presented to students of the Graduating Class who were committed members of the school’s Debating Team over a significant period during their senior years.

LIONS CLUB OF CAYMAN BRAC HONOUR’S GRADUATE AWARD
Presented to students who achieve 7 or more High Level external examination passes including English Language and Mathematics up to the January examination sitting of the year of Graduation.

EAGLE RAY SCHOLARSHIP Awarded by an anonymous donor through a process of application open to all students. Scholarship is tenable at any recognized post- secondary institution. Students interested in applying must submit application to Donor through the Pastoral Vice-Principal.

ROTARY CLUB AWARD Presented to the top two Academic students of the Graduating Class.

KIRKCONNEL AWARD Presented to the top two Academic students of the Graduating Class.
