On the Transformation of the Believer’s Life

Instructions for the First Passover
"This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a pilgrimage festival to Yahuwah-- a lasting ordinance. For seven days you are to eat bread made without yeast. On the first day remove the yeast from your houses, for whoever eats anything with yeast in it from the first day through the seventh must be cut off from Yisrael. Shemot/Exodus 12:14-15

Instructions for the First Passover
On the first day hold a set apart assembly (miqra qodesh), and another one on the seventh day. Do no work at all on these days, except to prepare food for everyone to eat-- that is all you may do. Celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Mitzrayim. Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. Shemot/Exodus 12:16-17

Instructions for the First Passover
In the first month you are to eat bread made without yeast, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day. For seven days no yeast is to be found in your houses. And whoever eats anything with yeast in it must be cut off from the community of Yisrael, whether he is an alien or native-born. Eat nothing made with yeast. Wherever you live, you must eat unleavened bread.“ Shemot/Exodus 12:18-20

Coming Out of Egypt The circumstance of eating unleavened bread because they didn’t have time for bread to rise occasioned a spiritual lesson. Israel came out of Egypt and Egypt needed to come out of Israel False worship, habits, a slave mentality, fear, unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, attitudes of the mind, unhealthy spiritual agreements

What Does Leaven Mean? When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread. "Be careful," Yahusha said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees." They discussed this among themselves and said, "It is because we didn't bring any bread." Aware of their discussion, Yahusha asked, "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? Matthew 16:5-8

What Does Leaven Mean? Do you still not understand? Don't you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? How is it you don't understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees." Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Matthew 16:9-12

Leaven = Teaching The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat. "Be careful," Yahusha warned them. "Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod." They discussed this with one another and said, "It is because we have no bread." Aware of their discussion, Yahusha asked them: "Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Mark 8:14-17

The Leaven of Hypocrisy
Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Yahusha began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. Luke 12:1-2

Paul on Leaven When you are assembled in the name of our Master Yahusha and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Master Yahusha is present, hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of Yahuwah. Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast-- as you really are. For Messiah, our Pesach lamb, has been sacrificed. 1 Corinthians 5:4-7
12
Paul on Leaven Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people-- not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 1 Corinthians 5:8-10
13
Paul on Leaven But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the assembly? Are you not to judge those inside? Elohim will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you.“ 1 Corinthians 5:11-13

Freedom for the Captives
The Spirit of Adonai Yahuwah is on me, because Yahuwah has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of Yahuwah's favor and the day of vengeance of our Elohim… Isaiah 61:1-2
15
Freedom of the Sons of Israel
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of Elohim. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Romans 8:20-22

Free Indeed To the Yehudim who had believed him, Yahusha said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.“ They answered him, "We are Avraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?" Yahusha replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (pert. to being actually so, really, certainly, in truth) Lazarus 8:31-36
