7 ‘CREATE A SNOWFLAKE’ CELEBRATION
There are easier ones, there are harder ones. Can you create one entirely yourself? - creativity and having your own original design is encouraged.

8 ‘CREATE A SNOWFLAKE’ CELEBRATION
Anyone is welcome to make a paper snowflake. See below for links of ‘how-to’ videos, and details about different levels: Easiest Any simple 6-sided snowflake created yourself - any style! A little harder A 6-sided single paper snowflake. A 6-sided single paper snowflake but with some creative designs. Wow - cool! A single piece of paper but 3-D snowflake. This is a challenge! A multi-paper 3-D snowflake.

9 Math, maTH, MATH!! Math is amazing - math is everywhere. This month we will explore fun math facts about snowflakes! According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world's largest snowflake fell on January 28, 1887 in Montana, measuring 15 inches! Math - it’s the only subject that ‘counts’!!

10 BAND There is intermediate band rehearsal tomorrow morning at 7:45 and Wednesday at 3:30 - 5:00. Music Fest is approaching quickly (and snow days and holidays don’t help!), so it is important that all members are at EVERY rehearsal in order to reach our goal! See you there!

12 * Wellness Break - Grades 5 to 8 students are welcome to come to the library for 2nd recess to have some QUIET down time. The Wellness Break will allow you to settle into a quiet corner in the library to read a book, do some drawing or some quiet, independent activity. No talking, chatting, doing homework, or technology allowed.

13 Environment Club Members of the Environment Club that are working on the Recycling Presentations are asked to come to Ms. Holroyd’s room at 1:10. Have a quick snack first please. P.S. The Environment Club would be HAPPY to see snowflakes made from “GOOD ON ONE SIDE” paper instead of fresh, new paper :-) GO GREEN WORSLEY!!!

Sam Richardson Gr 4/5 Showed Kindness: During math games Sam asked his friends to wait for another student to return from the bathroom to include him. Teacher: Ms. Ahlfeldt Sebby Cullan Gr 4 Mrs.Cox and Mrs.Battista. Showed Kindness: When Sebby was given his pizza sheet he was honest and said he hadn’t paid for his slice today and asked me to cut one off his sheet. Paisley Stone Gr 2 Mme. Steeves Showed Kindness: Offered her spot in line so another student could see. Tanner Mcmillion Gr 3 Mrs.Scott Showed Kindness: Tanner is so kind and patient with his friend Isaiah. Patton Li Kindergarten Mrs.Verstagan Showed Kindness: Grabbed a classmate a paper towel when they had a spill. Clara Brooks Gr. 3 (Mme Taylor) Showed Kindness: Clara complimented many people.

Luca Kindergarten Mrs.Verstagan Showed Kindness: Got a chair for a friend when the friend had his hands full. Julia Dent Mme.Taylor Showed Kindness: Julia helped another student pick up belongings without being asked. This put a smile on her peer’s face! Carrson Gr 1 Mme.Cameron Showed Kindness: Carrson helped a friend find his mittens. Kaitlyn Dunlop Showed Kindness: Kaitlyn complimented many people. Troy Veinot Mr.Salazar Showed Kindness: Offered to help Mr.Salazar to rearrange the benches in the gym. Damian Clark + Bryson Farrell Mr.Salazar Showed Kindness: Volunteered to carry 10 boxes from lobby to change room.

Jeremie Edwards-Mme Cameron’s Grade 1 Class Showed Kindness: Helped stack chairs without being asked. 19 Intermediate Girls Volleyball:
A huge shout out goes to the Intermediate Girls Volleyball Team who played their first game of the season Thursday after school against a more experienced Cameron Street. In spite of having had only two team practices, the team answered Cameron Street with very close matches, and looked really strong on the court. Can’t wait to see what you do next!! We will practice today at Morning Break (10:40)
