Jews were forced into housing complexes of the lowest standards. Holding pins until they could be shipped to death camps.
Warsaw Ghetto (Poland) contained over 400,000 Jews – roughly 10 people per room.

8. Concentration Camps (1933 – 1945)
Mostly located within Germany
Example: Dachau (1st Camp)
1933: Camps created to hold, torture and kill (mostly political prisoners).
1939: Camps increasingly became places to hold Jews. Many died from transportation, malnutrition, disease and exhaustion.

Mostly located in German occupied land (Poland)
Example: Auschwitz (1.6 million Jews were exterminated there).
Camps were created for the specific purpose of exterminating Jews and other prisoners
Death was usually by gas, prisoners thought they were taking showers.
