4 Early Cell Phones Rudy Krollop developed the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, the first practical cellular phone, in 1984. Nick named the brick the early cell phone weighed in at 2 pounds and sold for $3,995.

5 Early Cell Phones Although the early cell phones were bulky and expensive, people rushed to the electronic stores to get their own cellular phone. The cellular phones quickly gained popularity thanks to their appearances in movies and in shows like Saved By the Bell. Zack Morris often used a similar phone to the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X to aid him in his pranks.

20 The Next Generation Developers are working to improve data transfer rates in mobile devices. Imagine a vast broadband network that allows you to search the internet at speeds comparable to DSL or Cable. The future could hold many exciting things for the consumer. A device that does every thing from making phone calls to starting your car for you. The future is bright!!!!!
