2. What Is a Stereotype?
a widely held but fixed and oversimplified often over exaggerated image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.
Where do we see stereotypes?

3. Prejudice
Stereotypes are not so bad, until you pre-judge someone and react according to your pre-judgement
Prejudice: preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
When we actively respond to stereotypes we become prejudice
Ex: avoiding select groups like “abnormal” fruit

4. Power
Prejudice isn’t very harmful until a power struggle is established.
Power: the ability to do something or act in a particular way; agency
Agency: the ability to make your own free choices, to act independently
Social Power: the authority to control the self, goals, and often others

5. How Do You Understand Power
In groups discuss what power is
Where have you experienced it being used
What is your reaction to power
Do you have any power
