Verbos reflexivos Reflexive verbs are used to tell that a person does an action to himself or herself. All reflexive verbs end in –se to represent the reflexive pronoun that is used with them A reflexive pronoun is necessary to show that the action is being done by a person to his or her self. Although we don’t use these in English, a sentence that would have the same meaning is “I bathe myself.’

Pronombres reflexivos
me (myself) te (yourself) se (himself or herself) nos (ourselves) os (yourselves) se (themselves or yourselves)
9
Verbos reflexivos 1. Change the –se ending on the verb to the correct pronoun 2. Move the pronoun and put it in front of the verb 3. Conjugate the verb Ex: afeitarse (vosotros) 1. afeitaros 2. os afeitar 3. os afeitáis

Verbos reflexivos If a reflexive verb is not after a conjugated verb, use all 3 steps and fully conjugate it Ex: Yo me peino. If a reflexive verb comes after a conjugated verb, only do step 1 and you’re done. Ex: Yo quiero/voy a/tengo que peinarme.

Presente progresivo con verbos reflexivos
In the present progressive, reflexive pronouns can be placed either before the conjugated form of estar or attached to the end of the present participle. Yo me estoy entrenando. Yo estoy entrenándome. When you attach a pronoun to the present participle, you need to add an accent to the stressed vowel. Usually, this will be the third to last syllable. peinándose bañándote
