Standards 7RL4. Determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including figurative and connotative meanings; analyze the impact of rhymes and other repetitions of sounds (e.g., alliteration) on a specific verse or stanza of a poem or section of a story or drama. Rhyme Pattern (MYO Reference Sheet)
Rhyme scheme is the pattern of rhyme between lines of a poem or song. It is usually referred to by using letters to indicate which lines rhyme. In other words, it is the pattern of rhyming lines. (END WORDS)

Rhyme Pattern “A,B,A,B,” indicates a four-line stanza in which the first and third lines rhyme, as do the second and fourth.
