Thank you in advance for your support, Mrs A Thompson and Mrs Walmsley Research the Early civilization of Baghdad. What is this period of history now known as? How does this part of history fit into other areas of history that we know about? (what comes before or after? What happens at a similar time in other places of the world? How is this the same or different to what was happening in Baghdad? What was the city like at the time? Notes Our P.E day is on a Wednesday so please can you ensure that you have your P.E kit in school for this day. We have swimming lessons on a Thursday so please bring your swimming kits into school. Then choose one :- Can you put our new spelling words into sentences? Choose 5 words to write 5 sentences. Topic Project Our topic this half term is called, ‘Inventors and Inventions’. For your project you could design and make your very own object (a toy, a game or whatever you choose!) using any materials that you like. As part of our History lessons we will be learning about the early Islamic civilisation of Baghdad so you could also create a presentation about the different items that were invented in this period of history. The due date for all project homework will be Thursday 13th June. Find a book You like and read it. Simple Please write in your reading diaries. We have been looking at measurement in Maths this week; can you find different objects to measure at home? You could measure the length, weight or capacity of different items. Can you convert your measurement from cm to mm or m or from g to kg? Spellings (Test on Friday) would where should wear could there they’re their Make your homework DOJO worthy!
