The objective is to describe our “Migration Strategy” to meet the intent of Digital Government and promote a Shared-First paradigm – providing the security and data interoperability needed to promote mutual partnership support thru effective information sharing and collaboration capabilities.
CDC Red Sky National is our latest information sharing and collaboration capabilities.
Specifically, Update you on capability enhancements and what is available to Federal, State, and Local partners.
It was created to be a multi-level SECURE web-based dashboard that allows stakeholders & leadership access to critical public health information anywhere, anytime
It provides a real-time web-enabled capability to monitor, share, and improve timely notification and access to critical information concerning Public Health events
Red Sky was developed to improve our capacity to prepare and collectively respond to PH emergencies by:
- Integrating and consolidating relevant verified and validated information.
- Provide an easy and integrated way to manage, share, and report critical public health information to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Most importantly - It was designed as an information integration platform.
Its key strengths:
Built with non-proprietary software, robust KM backend; implementing open-system web standards and protocols; provides multi-level security and access – supporting mobile app technology – compatible with cloud or server-based architectures; and possesses an external Interface supporting cross domain sharing.
