Magnetic Declination The magnetic declination for this area is approximately 16 degrees East. Magnetic Declination – The difference in degrees between “True North” and where a compass points. Procedure to find “True North” Use the compass to find “Magnetic North”. Rotate the case of the compass to the left (West) approximately 16 degrees. North should be where the “Red N” is pointing.
