Ordovician outcrop map of the area north of Zagora, southeastern Morocco. Areas that yield exceptionally preserved fossils are indicated in colour: red areas with yellow trim belong to the Araneograptus murrayi biozone; yellow areas with red trim fall in the Hunnegraptus copiosus zone. A few additional sites considerably farther to the west and north fall outside the area covered by the map. The camera icon indicates the position of the photograph in Figure 2. Insets show the position of the map below in Africa, the study area within Morocco, and the stratigraphic context. The red arrow indicates the stratigraphic position of the Fezouata biota.
