BELOVED PAPA ON MIND
2
Beloved Papa on Mind The mind sees through the eyes, hears through the ears, smells through the nose, tastes through the tongue and feels the touch through the body.
3
Beloved Papa on Mind When the mind is restless, these senses make it perceive diversity which brings pain and sorrow. When the mind is peaceful, these senses make it perceive oneness which brings joy and bliss.
4
Beloved Papa on Mind A restless mind is Maya. A peaceful mind is Ram.
5
Beloved Papa on Mind When the mind is filled with the one thought of peace or Ram, eyes see nothing but Ram, ears hear nothing but Ram, nose smells nothing but Ram, tongue tastes nothing but Ram, every touch of the body is nothing but Ram.
6
Beloved Papa on Mind Everything, every being, affects the mind through the senses as Ram who is eternal peace and bliss.
7
Beloved Papa on Mind Watchfulness should be the principal trait in the nature of a Sadhaka, who is striving to purify and direct his mind towards the indwelling Reality.
8
Beloved Papa on Mind To let the mind conceive whatever thoughts it likes, and wander about without any check, and get itself entangled in a net of desires, causes the defeat of the Sadhaka in his attempt to push forward on the divine path.
9
Beloved Papa on Mind He should be alert, awake and heedful. He should closely watch the movements of his mind and gradually wean it away from the path of ignorance and guide it on the path of knowledge.
10
Beloved Papa on Mind He should develop a witness-consciousness through meditation and self-surrender. It is a state of awareness of the immortal and radiant Truth within him. In fact, this awareness itself is God-realization.
