Figure 2 Skin biopsy showing a large blister caused by intraepidermal acantholytic splitting under the stratum granulare. The basal rounding of keratinocytes (see inset) is typical for acantholysis. No prominent dermal inflammatory infiltrate or neutrophils are present in the biopsy.
