1. The Actions Window:

2. Actions closely mirrors the history menu, so it is located behind it.

3. Begin by selecting
Clear All Actions

4. Select
New Set
and name it
“Portraits”

5. Select
New Action
and name it…

6. By selecting Record, you are recording all of your actions in photoshop to reuse on other images.

7. Here you can see all of the steps in history it took to build this border.

8. Go to your action window and stop recording.

9. Open your new image highlight the action and “play”

10. If you are happy with the results,
Save Actions

11. Create your own actions folder and save all actions there for future use.

12. Other considerations:
Crop to the original image size. It might be best to keep the size in the name of the action.

13. Because the purpose of this is to use it on multiple images, don’t add specific details to the action as it records.
