13 THE ASSERTION

14 The assertion The assertion can be explained in two folds;
It could be said that the junior members do not understand their job description thoroughly and as a matter of fact not well acquainted as to what they really are about in their job setting. This possibly could stem out of inappropriate orientation and preparation on the part of the leaders involved in the said task. This has culminated and bred shredding of duties on the part of the junior members.

15 The assertion cont’d In another breath, the assertion can be explained in the sense that the said leadership and authorities truly are autocratic. This could be vividly ascertained from the fact that the leadership have violated and down-troddened on one of the qualities required for undertaking the leadership role ie. forcefully engaging the staff into activities against their job description and the interest of the staff. That is to say that the leadership role of leading people out of their free will has being compromised.

16 The Need for Leadership
Management and leadership are vital for the delivery of good and services. Although the two are similar, in some respect they may involve different types of outlook, skills, and behaviors. Good managers should strive to be good leaders and then good leaders need management to be effective.

17 The Need for Leadership
Leaders will have a vision to what is to be achieved and then communicate this to the others and evolve strategies for realizing the vision. Managers ensure that the available resources are well organized and applied to produce the best results. In the resource-constrained and difficult environment of many low to middle-income countries, managers must also be leaders to achieve optimum results.
