1st Preparatory Meeting – Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. 2nd Preparatory Meeting – Luanda, Angola. 3rd Preparatory Meeting – Johannesburg, RSA 4th Preparatory Meeting – Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe SADC – EACO Meeting – Nairobi, Kenya

1ST PREPARATORY MEETING
Hosted in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (20th – 24th June 2013). Formulated the preliminary positions for the region. Nominated Rapporteurs for each Agenda Item. Adopted input paper to Working Party 5D (WP 5D). Noted the formal requirements for IMT spectrum and the requirement for submissions of notices to the ITU for GE-06 Frequency Plan modifications.

2ND PREPARATORY MEETING
Hosted in Luanda, Angola (30th June – 4th July 2014). Worked on refining the preliminary positions. Submitted inputs to the 2nd ATU meeting. Noted the outcomes of the JTG meeting especially the methodologies that were also influenced by the African contributions. Agreed on roadmap for way forward and submitted to 3rd ATU meeting.

3RD PREPARATORY MEETING
Hosted by in Johannesburg, RSA (23rd – 26th February, 2015). Concluded on some positions with respect to the outcomes of the 3rd ATU preparatory meeting. Reviewed the need to agree on modalities for the forthcoming CPM in Geneva. Reviewed the Way forward in preparation for 4th SADC Preparatory meeting.

4TH PREPARATORY MEETING
Hosted by in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (11th – 15th May, 2015). Concluded on most positions with respect to the outcomes of the 3rd SADC meeting and final ATU meeting. Agreed on modalities and reviewed outcomes of the CPM Reviewed the Way forward in preparation for 4th ATU Preparatory meeting.

SADC – EACO MEETING Hosted by in Nairobi, Kenya (16th – 17th July, 2015). Reviewed most positions prior to the 4th ATU Meeting and final ATU meeting. Reviewed the Way forward in preparation for 4th ATU Preparatory meeting.

CONSIDERATION DOCUMENTS
Initial SADC Paper – as developed at 1st meeting. SADC output document as submitted to ATU after 2nd meeting. Comparative document – SADC vs. ATU. Output - finalized document that is expected to be submitted to ATU for consideration as part of CPM discussions.

OTHER KEY ASPECTS Digital Dividend – consideration of key issues.
CRASA Frequency Planning Committee – IMT requirements outcomes. Digital Migration – progress to date. ITU Study Group – Outcomes and results.

OUTPUTS Harmonized positions (ATU / SADC) where possible.
Meeting report to update member states. Comparative positions – SADC / other regions. Input documents to upcoming meetings. Regional comparative positions.

WAY FORWARD Submission of reviewed report to ATU - Chairman.
