The Properties of Color
Hue is the name of the color (red, yellow, etc.) It refers to the color’s position on the color wheel. Value – The lightness or darkness of a color. Chroma/Intensity – The brightness or dullness of a color.

Tones If you mix two complementary colors, you can make gray! Mixing complements changes the intensity of the colors. Intensity is the brightness or dullness of a color.
