To enhance DEMO / reactor relevancy of results, reaching bN~2-3 and Te/Ti~0.5-3, upgrades to the TCV heating systems are on going NBH 1MW D injector, Eb~15-35keV, 2sec X3 power upgrade Two dual frequency gyrotrons (126/84GHz), 2MW To test edge configurations for the exhaust problem in DEMO / reactor relevant conditions, studies of possible in-vessel structures generating a divertor aperture with variable closure are starting
