2. Our Vision
At Kilmarnock Academy, Vocational Pathways will help our young people learn how their talents, interests and achievements relate to future study options and job opportunities. Our pathways provide clear study options that are valued by local and national employers and aim to highlight what employers expect from young people embarking on employment. Through learning, our young people will develop employability skills such as communication, problem solving, ICT skills, time management and collaboration. They will also have the opportunity to gain several qualifications recognised by employers throughout the country in the form of National Qualifications 3, 4 and 5. Our goal is to provide courses which will support our young people to secure a positive destination in further education or employment when they leave school.
