Math
We reviewed interim math tests and students reflected on their scores and shared with the class how they could reach distinguished. We are beginning to have lots of student self assessment activities so they will be able to internalize the scoring process. We should finish Chapter 9 this week on plotting & graphing.
Reading
The literature circles have been so great. I have recorded some of the student discussions and am impressed with their ideas. Instead of a log this week students are to write a brief review of Mysterious Benedict Society and turn in WED.
Spelling
We will be spelling compound words this week AND the students will take the test on Wednesday instead of Thursday (I will be out on Thursday), so only two nights to study!
Announcements
.Students can earn 2 stars by making a poster to encourage donations for the tornado victims. Posters must be in by tomorrow, Mar. 13.
Please check the flyer sent home last week for items needed. Our class is focusing mostly on gathering schools supplies for children., but any of the items are appreciated.
