Streaming vs. Progressive Progressive Download: The movie player calculates how long it will take to download the movie and begins playback once enough has been downloaded so that it can play back uninterrupted. Streaming: Doesnt download a file to a hard drive. Quality of video constrained by network or modem bandwidth.
