2 Introduction Health of marine environment and fisheries are intricately linked, pressure on marine ecosystem is high, there are also opportunities for cooperation. Joint Marine, Water and Nature Directors November 2015 (Luxembourg): closer dialogue with agriculture, forestry and fisheries policies (national and EU). Netherlands offered help to prepare a discussion in one of the upcoming Presidencies.

Workshops for preparation in second half 2016 and 2017 Additional ideas or alternatives: Developing a cross-sectorial calender of key milestones Regional approach: sharing best practises in a regional sea basin-setting Operational approach: joint development and adoption of international monitoring programmes
