INTRODUCTION TO SHIRT Not Indian garment – it’s a western garment – basically inner garment – in our country, as outer / basic garment – cause of our environment and atmosphere main elements of a shirt are – front, back, sleeve, cuff, collar, and pocket types of shirt depends on its look, or long lasting periods -

CLASSIC SHIRT The classic mean really old which still alive because of its good quality and value – it has comfort fit - made out of checks, plaids, or stripes material – color of the material may be light or dark- used in routine work – have full or half sleeve- nominal design details

FORMAL SHIRT Mean soft looked shirt – made up from plain material – light or white colored material - minimum design details – 1/32” or 1/16” top stitch - commonly used shirt – should wear with neck tie- office wear shirt -

MANILA SHIRT Prepare with half or full sleeve – if half sleeve, its hem up turned –with tennis collar – or with closed collar – patch pocket on both fronts – with flap or without flap – straight hemline – no pleats on back – fish darts and plain shoulder yoke – full open shirt style -

SAFARI SHIRT The same material of pants is used to make safari – the back kept plain as manila shirt – or with seam Attached waist band at back – a slit at back - patch pockets are attached on chest line and waist line – With or without flap with tennis or shirt collar -

T- SHIRT Made out from plain cloth or hosiery material – with half sleeves / full sleeves – tennis collar - half open front placket – side slit – one chest pocket
