9 WHAT IS A COMMERCIAL PRACTICE?
Commercial law or business law is generally considered to encompass all the commercial needs of a business (whether it is a sole proprietorship, a partnership or a corporation). For example: Incorporations and partnerships (setting them up and helping them operate) Corporate service Corporate finance and securities (public company) Lending and bank financing Real property and leasing Mergers and acquisitions Services agreements (employment, distribution, franchising, agency) Intellectual property and technology Industry law – e.g. mining, health, energy, construction
