Egypt depended on Kush for raw materials.
Through trade Kush became wealthy and its army grew.
Egypt feared Kush would grow too strong so the pharaoh conquered Kush land.

During this time the Egyptians influenced Kush greatly.
Eventually the Kush regained their independence and went on to conquer part of Upper Egypt and eventually most of Egypt.
