ATTENTION SPARTANS The bus loop gates and the gates by the office are to be kept closed between 8:15 and 3:30. Juniors and DE Students: Don’t forget to sign in/ out when leaving campus, or Ms. Rains will revoke your privileges! Please place Jimmy Johns orders before 10:45am. When dismissed for lunch, you MUST come straight to the main office to pick up your order. Lost and found will be located in the back right side of the cafeteria School supplies are available in Guidance. Guidance Department Mrs. Hernandez (107) Grades 6-12 A-J Ms. Daigle (110)- Grades 6-12 K-Z Students are responsible for logging off the computer when they are done using it. If you do not logout and someone else misuses the computer, you will be the one facing consequences, not that other person. -1 unexcused tardy earned between classes = 1 detention -1st period tardy if you are a bus rider = 1 detention* *unless the bus is late arriving to school -3 unexcused tardies from parent drop off = 1 detention

DO NOT. . . Eat or carry food over the basketball court or turf field
“Hang out” in the stairwells or on the second floor during lunch. Chew gum. DO NOT BRING GUM! Go on the basketball court with a skateboard! Use the elevator without approval from the office. Leave campus if you are a Middle Schooler, Freshman or Sophomore (Except for DE students) Allow an underclassmen in your vehicle without prior permission, or you will lose all privileges for the remainder of the school year. Throw anything off the balcony. Throw anything from the ground level to the 2nd floor. Eat or carry food over the basketball court or turf field Litter or leave garbage around at lunch Hang out by the wavy wall side or behind the basketball court bleachers Play football on campus Hang on or grab the basketball nets/rims Playing “keep away” = a detention Sweat pants/yoga pants/ leggings are not allowed. Not even during dress down days. Dress code violations earn detentions

LUNCH EXPECTATIONS The lunch line will stop selling food after 12:10. Do not wait until lunch is almost over to get your food No Earbuds at the food line. The cafeteria staff needs to communicate with you. Pushing or skipping will result in disciplinary action. Pick up after yourself. Don’t be surprised when the cameras catch you Do not run in the cafeteria or spill out area. Do not eat or carry food over the basketball court or turf field! You may not have food delivered to the office/school other than Jimmy Johns, and only at the prescribed time. Likely consequence is a Saturday detention.

Somerset Detention Rules
Not following rules below will be grounds for dismissal from detention and additional Consequences will be issued. No Talking for any reason – If you need to get the teacher’s attention raise your hand and wait for the teacher to walk over to you. No Sleeping or putting your head down. No Eating Allowed. No getting up from your seat without permission. No Sitting next to another student. There must be at least one “student” space between you and any other student. Bathroom - Bathroom privileges will be restricted unless in the case of an emergency. This will be determined by the teacher in charge. No Drawing or playing paper games (i.e. tic tac toe) You are only allowed to work on classwork/homework. Phones must be silenced and in your book bag/pocket. They cannot be used for homework. If you want to know the time, look at the cafeteria clock. You must arrive by 3:35pm. After that time, you will not be allowed in detention and additional consequences will be assigned. No excuse will be accepted for tardiness. Only an administrator can provide you with a pass if they feel your excuse is valid. Do not argue with teacher in charge of detention to let you in.

The Gathering Club meets after school Thursdays from 3:30- 4:30 in room 132. Reptile Club-Meets Thursdays afterschool from 3:35-4:30 in 247 French Club- Meets Thursdays afterschool from 3:35-4:35 in 124 First Priority- Meets Fridays in 232 during lunch Asian Pop Culture Club- Meets in 232 afterschool on Fridays If you would like to add your club to this list, please with the day, time, and location of your club.

Want to be involved in something great at SCPA next school year? … Run for student Government Association! This is for the school year. Who: high school students get 5 reps per grade NEW TO the school year: middle school students get 1 rep per grade How: Pick up an application from Mrs. Butler in room 224 starting Monday, April 29th (Do NOT come for an application during class), find it online on the SGA page, or there will be copies in the office. When: Applications due NO LATER than May 6th by 3:30 PM. Campaigning can take place AFTER you have been approved to run. (Just turning in your application does not mean you are approved.) Elections: May 17, 2019 You must: Have at least a 2.5 GPA (3.0 for Pres and VP), NO more than 2 detentions this school year, get 2 teacher recommendations, commit to following the positions duties and guidelines, and the SGA bylaws. Positions: For Seniors: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Class Representative For All other grades: 5 Representatives for each HS grade level, and 1 Representative for each MS grade level Weekly Meetings: Once elections are over, you MUST join this year’s staff at weekly meetings on Tuesdays in room 224. Your meetings next year may change day of the week and time of day.
