ECE 671 – Lecture 14 Final Project Ideas
2
Topics QUIC NDN MPTCP CUBIC SDN ECE 671
3
General If applicable you might design and test your experiment on mininet before running them on GENI You have to submit a final report in IEEE two-column style format: Describes your project Presents results from your experiment (evaluation) Submit all material required to allow us to reproduce your experiments! ECE 671
4
QUIC Create a GENI slice Install QUIC server
Install QUIC client. E.g., Chrome Run QUIC sessions in parallel of competing TCP traffic (created by e.g., Iperf) and analyze performance QUIC Client QUIC Server R1 R2 Iperf Client Iperf Server ECE 671
5
Named Data Networking Create a GENI slice consisting of at least two nodes Use this slice to set up NDN ( communication by installing NFD ( Install an application ( on top of NFD and analyze its performance. Verify IP-free NDN communication between end systems ECE 671
6
MultiPath TCP Set up a GENI slice
Install MultiPath TCP ( on both server and client Compare performance of Multipath TCP compared to standard TCP R1 R1 Client Server R2 ECE 671
7
TCP CUBIC Use a GENI slice that consists of at least two nodes
Compare performance of CUBIC in comparison with other TCP flavors Server (QUIC) Client R1 R2 Server (other) Client ECE 671
8
SDN-based Firewall Create a GENI slice Build an SDN-based firewall
Firewall functionality is enforced by controller Initially firewall should be completely closed for connections from outside Connections from inside should open firewall for corresponding traffic from outside Private Network Public Network Client Server Firewall ECE 671
9
Administrative Projects are due by 5/7 at 5PM.
Submit ALL material that allows us to asses your project. E.g., rspecs, code, measurement results. Also submit a short (no more than 5 pages) description, including final results of the analysis you performed. ECE 671
