How we define artificial intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to IT systems that sense, comprehend, act and learn. AI consists of multiple technologies that enable computers to perceive the world, analyze and understand the information collected and make informed decisions or recommend action and learn from experience.
Example case:
Siemens’ latest gas turbines contain more than 500 sensors, which continuously register pressure conditions, temperatures, component stress, and much more. The resulting data is evaluated by software, generating information that helps turbine operators easily track parameters that are crucial for operation. (source: Siemens).
