1 Móricz Zsigmond Reformed Secondary and Grammar School
The building has been standing since This imposing building is the pearl of Kisújszállás.

2 Móricz Zsigmond One of the most well-known realist writers of the 20th century He got into the school due to his uncle Gyula Pallagi who was the principal of the school He finished the school succesfully in 1899. Móricz wrote some novels about the town, and his life in Kisújszállás The school took his name in 1952, the tenth anniversary of his death

3 The school was founded in 1717, so we celebrated the 300th anniversary last year
At first the school was a reformed school then after it was a state school for about 60 years The beginning of the school year in 2012 it went back to the roots and became a Reformed school again.

Gusztáv Jermy organised this stockroom-museum, as the teacher and principal of the school in 1856.

Library The reading desk in the library used to be the desk of the former teacher’s room, it is more than 150 years old. The desk of the principal is here, which used to belong to Gyula Pallagi himself The oldest volume is from 1728, and it’s a latin historical piece. In the whole country, there is only this one piece to be found, so it was borrowed by many exhibitions The current stock is books, from which are excercise books, the rest are handbooks and fictions, and electronic documents 150 years old desk Picture from the gallery

9 General education in our school
Students who want to continue their studies in higher education choose this educational model because: Studying 2 foreign languages Learning the chosen subjects on advanced level Students can take ECDL exam After four years student take final exam from Literature, Foreign language, Maths, History and one more chosen subject like Geography, Biology, Art, PE

10 Language preparatory class
5 year term Chosen language is studied by the students 14 hours a week (only in the first year) Learning methodology ECDL exam

11 Economic class Theoretical economic subjects: micro and macro economics Business economics: finance, marketing, statistic Young enterprise companies: students can use their theoretical knowledges in practice ECDL EBCL

12 IT class More than 10 hours IT subjects per a week
ECDL + photo and web editing Video cutting Computer programming Professional english We’ve got 5 IT rooms, and moreover there are portable notebooks.

13 Law enforcement class Students learn Self-defence and action technics
Basic of administration and law enforcement Tasks of the Law enforcement Agencies Gunnery

14 In November there is a Móricz week, every day the classes have to do something for example drawing, crossword puzzle etc. The senior’ball is in November. This is a ball where the final year students get the school ribbon, and there are class dances

15 In January we finish the half term of the school year
In February there is the Carneval, when we take a dance ball and we usually try to invite a famous singer or a DJ In April there is the the Nagykun Cup. This is an important sport event for the secondary schools in the region

16 In the beginning of May there is the school leaving ceremony and the final year students take the final exams In May there is the students day with funny sport competitions, cooking, collecting toys for children
