2. This year as a branch we were proud to….
replenish and grow our sling library after a theft
introduce a new weekly coffee afternoon at Play Diggle
welcome new volunteers to our committee and build good relationships with the local health visiting team
help establish a Maternity Listening and Action Group
provide breastfeeding peer support at NCT meets

3. The biggest challenges we faced were…..
the theft of half of our slings
lack of volunteers for a Nearly New Sale, newsletter or family fun day
maintaining numbers at our Sparkles (Royton) and
Planet Play (Heywood) groups

4. We successfully raised £1,125 to help fund NCT’s work both
locally and nationally, offering impartial information and
support to parents through the NCT website and helpline
and campaigning to ensure better services and facilities for
parents in their First 1,000 Days.

5. We also increased our membership to 106 members
(60 households) locally

6. THANK YOU to Play Ltd who grant us free access to their soft play centres each Monday (Oldham) and Friday (Diggle) for coffee groups and sling meets. We have over 100 slings in our library with almost half out on loan at any one time. The library is run by a trained consultant and babywearing/breastfeeding peer supporters.

8. We welcomed several new volunteers to our branch team and said goodbye to Joanne B who has returned to full time work and Mel who will shortly emigrate to Australia.

9. The current vacancies on our team are
Newsletter editor Events coordinator
Web coordinator 
We plan to recruit new volunteers by holding more regular meetings and socials and attending local antenatal classes and baby bistros.

10. In the coming year we would like to reach more parents with a table top sale (September), by organizing more social events for parents to get to know one another, creating digital newsletters, hosting a family first aid course and better linking into our local antenatal classes and with health professionals.

11. We hope to fund this through table/ticket sales for events, advertising revenue and donations for sling and nappy bundle loans.
