2 Background Born: September 19, 1966 in Florida
After his father died, Eric, his mom, 3 brothers and sister moved to Missouri While living in Missouri his mother took him to Christian Identity Compound As a teenager they then moved to the western North Carolina mountains He dropped out in 9th grade and worked as a carpenter After he received his GED, he went to college for a while and then was enlisted in the U.S Army. In January 1989 he was discharged for using marijuana Former sister in law Deborah helped investigators create a profile for Eric, she told them that he grew marijuana and made 60,000 a year selling it Considered an American terrorist ; responsible for 4 bombings between He spent years on the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives

3 Bombings Most well known of the Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta on July 27, 1996 during the Summer Olympics. The blast killed 2 people and injured 111 others He planted 3 pipe bombs and put them in a military bag which was surrounded by nails and placed under the bench near the concert sound booth Richard Jewell was a security guard at the park at the time and he discovered the bomb and let the police know and tried his best to clear the people away from it but the news got the wrong idea and labeled him as a potential suspect He bombed an abortion clinic in January 1997 And another at a lesbian nightclub; injured 5 The last bombing was at another abortion clinic but in Alabama which killed a police officer and a nurse

4 Caught In Action May 21, 2003 after 5 years Eric Rudolph was caught
The Christian Identity group that was against abortion and homosexuality At one of Eric’s trials he stated his motive was because he was mad at the government Organized- he knew what he was doing, he hid in the mountains in NC for 5 years and he hid 250 lbs of dynamite in the forest Eric agreed to a plea bargain under which he plead guilty of all charges he was accused of ,in exchange for avoiding the death penalty
