Serratus Anterior Origin – superior 8 or 9 ribs
Insertion – vertebral border and inferior angle of scapula. Function - abduction and rotates scapula upwards. elevates ribs when scapula stabilized.

Linea Alba A fibrous structure that runs down the midline of the abdomen in humans and other vertebrates. In humans, linea alba runs from the xiphoid process to the pubic symphasis.

Lumbar Triangle Is formed by – posterior border of external oblique,
superior border of iliac crest, and lateral border of latissimus dorsi.

Piriformis Origin – anterior surface of sacrum.
Insertion – greater trochanter of femur Function - lateral rotation

Erector Spinea Muscle Group
Origin – spines of upper lumbar and lower thoracic vertebrae Insertion – spines of upper Thoracic and cervical Function – extends vertebral column, assists in bending backward, sideways and with rotation of spine.
