1. Acknowledgements
This final step list the obligations of coordinating a special event. The greatest take away from this process is that planning and preparation is key along with the responsibility of the Event Coordinator & the Department Authority regarding sponsoring an event at the University of Hartford

2. Acknowledgements
In signing the Operations Plan, the Event Coordinator and Department Authority are aware that:
They will be held responsible for organizing the special event and may have personal liability related to the special event
They will ensure that the planning of the special event complies with University policies, municipal, state and federal laws
They will ensure that the rules/procedures for the special event are posted for all participants
They will ensure that the waivers and/or a list of names of all special event participants are collected appropriately
They will ensure that each volunteer involved in the special event is aware of his or her responsibilities.
They shall remain ready and able to host their special event with sound and clear judgment and awareness of details until the end of the activity
They will, after consulting with the appropriate staff, agree to shut down or cancel an event if it is or becomes unsafe
Overall, they agree to uphold all the requirements of the Event Coordinator and Department Authority
