1. Behind the Rumble and Roar of Mahindra Motorcycles
The goal is to simultaneously meet regulatory requirements on engine pass-by-noise and satisfy customer demands for loud muffler rumbling.
Using COMSOL Multiphysics®, engineers performed an acoustic-radiation analysis and studied the noise, vibration, and harshness performance of the engine, intakes, and exhaust systems. They also created a simulation app to automate data postprocessing.
