1. School Bus Wi-Fi Update

2. Context
We first put Wi-Fi into operation on 20 school buses in September 2012 for the school year.
15 of the 20 Wi-Fi equipped buses had routes in which student travel time exceeded one hour.
In 2013, we equipped 12 more buses with Wi-Fi for the school year
We did not add any new Wi-Fi on buses during the school year.
Tonight I will provide an overview of Operations Directorate activity since May 2014, looking at seven discrete categories of operations in which my departments are simultaneously engaged.

3. Our Provision of WiFi on Buses Resulted in a Substantial Decrease in Reported Behavior Infractions

4. Level of Student Conduct Reports on School Buses Relative to the School Year In Which No Buses Were Equipped with WiFi

5. In School Year 2015-16 We Plan to Add WiFi Ten Additional Routes
For we will add WiFi to buses that have:
Student travel times exceeding 60 minutes
Travel times exceeding 30 minutes and that have above average number of student conduct reports for the school year.
The fixed WiFi cost per bus (hardware and installation) is approximately $ (10 buses= $4,500.00).
The variable WiFi cost per bus (T-Mobile WiFi service) is $47 per month per WiFi equipped bus after E-Rate.
