3 FIGURE 2 Expression of selected microRNAs (miRNAs) in malignant pleura mesothelioma (MPM) samples detected by reverse-transcriptase quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) for microarray data validation. The miRNA was determined by RT-qPCR assay in MPM samples. Data are expressed as a relative fold change over the value of normal controls. Relative expression was calculated using the ΔΔCt method, and the values are expressed as 2−ΔΔCt. As a normalization reference, U6 RNA was used. The numbers below the figure represent the CDKN1A/p21 expression values obtained by microarray analysis (log2 transformed) and refer to the same samples.
